Do you have a favourite club or interest group that you’d like to contribute to? Have you been itching to take on more of a leadership role within the MSS? Want to get involved but don’t know where to start? Well, you’re in the right place. Below you will find a list of all the Standing Committees, Interest Groups, and Clubs, along with their Terms of Reference (basically how the group functions, its mandate, etc.) the latter will be helpful if you aren’t sure what a specific group is all about. To view the Terms of Reference, simply click on the group’s name. If this standing committee/interest group/club is recruiting members for its executive committee this spring, you’ll also find their recruitment posting attached. The the “Apply” button is red for a given group, that is because they have specified that they will not be recruiting this Spring and you’ll have to check back during the Fall recruitment period.
Note that the Spring Recruitment Period will run from Monday, April 24th until Sunday, May 14th. Any interviews associated with applications will take place in the following weeks, and you should get a response about your candidacy by the first week of June.
IMPORTANT: Some groups have an earlier deadline so please read the recruitment posting attentively.
CONTACT INFO: Some groups did not include a contact email in their recruitment posting. If that is the case, you can find them on the clubs’, interest groups’, and standing committees’ pages.
The MSS encourages students with lived experience of discrimination and from underrepresented groups in medicine to apply.
